Bruce Ashford is a book writer, columnist, speech writer, and professor. Author or co-author of nine books, including Letters to an American Christian, How To Survive an Election Season, Every Square Inch: An Introduction to Cultural Engagement for Christians, One Nation Under God: A Christian Hope for American Politics, The Doctrine of Creation, The Gospel of Our King, and Theology & Practice of Mission.
Ashford completed his Ph.D. in 2003 with his dissertation on the philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein. He taught teach philosophy and History of Ideas for the undergraduate program at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS). He also served as Provost and Professor of Theology & Culture.
