Dr. Timothy Tennent will deliver the first Annual Tennent Lecture on World Christianity on April 11 with remarks on “Staying Centered in the Midst of the Shifting Center of World Christianity.” The event is free and open to the public. Please plan to be with us in Washington this April.
Tennent joined IRD’s John Wesley Institute as Distinguished Fellow in 2024, working with Dr. Ryan N. Danker to promote formation in the Wesleyan tradition. He serves as the Methodist Chair at Beeson Divinity School, Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. Tennent served for 15 years as the President of Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky having also served on the faculty at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Massachusetts.
